Interning at ACJC provides an excellent opportunity for workplace learning at a state government agency. Interns will acquire technical and soft skills while assisting staff on a variety of research, reports, and projects which influence criminal justice policy decisions across Arizona. Internships are offered every semester and may be available for academic credit based.

Internship Project Descriptions
- STATISTICAL ANALYSIS CENTER (SAC)
- The Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) serves as the research arm of Commission. The SAC collects, analyzes, and reports on the criminal justice issues in Arizona contributing evidence-based information for statewide policy development and citizen’s usage.
- Project Focus: Assist with the Arizona Youth Survey (AYS) Project
- Availability: Spring, Summer and Fall Semesters
- DRUG, GANG AND VIOLENT CRIME CONTROL (DGVCC)
- ACJC supports a variety of projects across the criminal justice system designed to address the drug, gang and violent crime problem in Arizona.
- Project Focus: Assist with the preparation of the annual Enhanced Drug and Gang Enforcement (EDGE) Report
- Availability: Fall Semester
- LEGISLATIVE INTERNSHIP
- Competitive university–wide program to work full-time at a state agency during the spring semester and see firsthand the Arizona legislative process from the perspective of a criminal justice stakeholder. Must be a student at Arizona State University (ASU).
- Application Process: ASU's Legislative Internship Program
- Project Focus: Assist the Public Information Officer/Legislative Liaison (PIO) during the Regular Session of the Arizona Legislature.
- Availability: Spring Semester, 40 hours per week and No Spring Break.
